עברית: רמת הנגב" - ישוב חדש בנגב - השכנים הערבים עוזרים בהקמת הנקודה"

התמונה צולמה על ידי לזר דינר ב19.11.1947. בתמונה ניתן לראות את בניית המבנים של הישוב החדש ואת שיתוף הפעולה עם השכנים הבדואים. שיתוף הפעולה מצידם היה חיוני להקמת היישוב. קיימות עדויות על מספר ישובים בנגב בהם בשלב זה היה שיתוף פעולה בין האוכלוסיות ויתכן והבדואים ראו בכך מקור טוב לפרנסה ולפיתוח. להקמת הקיבוץ הביאו את גרעין "אופקים" שמנה כ-40 חברים וחברות מהנוער העובד והלומד שהיו בהכשרה בקריית יערי כחלק מתפיסתם האידאולוגית של החלוצים ובעזרתם של הבדואים הבניה של מקימי היישוב הייתה בניית קבע, מתוך הרצון ליישב את הארץ ולהכין תשתית חזקה להמשך ההתיישבות. לאחר המלחמה, שגבתה את חייהם של חלק מן החברים, הישוב התפרק וחלק מהגרעין עברו לקיבוצים "משמרות" ו"גבים". כיום אין זכר בשטח לקיבוץ. מיקום הקיבוץ היה בין צאלים למחנה צאלים. התמונה נחקרה על ידי הסטודנטיות והסטודנט: אדר שק, עלמה אופק, מרי פרסון ושי קסל
